Just got back from a 4D3N work trip to Taipei. It was indeed an eye-opener and I’ve learnt alot from the Taipei Game Show. I’ve never liked Taiwan much, since the last I visited the place 5 years ago but this trip has proven to have been rather enjoyable.
Nothing much to be said about what Taiwan is famous for – Shopping, Eating, Entertainment. I believe all 3 are overrated.
I’ve enjoyed exploring the parts of Taipei, from the interesting boutiques in the back alleys of housing districts, to enjoying the tranquility of the 24hr bookshop.
Memories of 4 days well spent.

A nicer way to spend my favourite Saturday being sick, is to make a short evening trip down to Changi Terminal 3 to pick up the new phone, have nice dinner and coffee and to bring the Toys out. Which is exactly what I did.
Check out some of my favourite photos on the short outing.

Teamwork gets you good coffee!
This Friday night is special because I get to chill out with Su!
Put us two women who are frustrated with their work together on a wonderful Friday night and you get lots of bitching, letting go (of work related frustrations), lots of fun, intellectual conversations and an overflow of ideas.
We wanted to check out Night and Day but there were no seats left and its really really really dark. So we backtracked to Starbucks. We both ordered the Caramelized Hazelnut Chocolate Muffin. Yum! I liked the bits of hazelnut in it. A warmed up muffin can be such a comforting meal!

Su's new DIY purse and our dinner - Coffee & Muffin
Check out Su’s DIYed purse. She used vintage cloth her mom purchased sometime in the 70s. The inner pocket lining is made from old T-shirt. How ingenious! I’m inspired to get my ideas made too. So watch this space!
Had a real good time chatting, exchanging ideas till the place closed and we were asked to leave. So off we went, to Roomful of Blues!
Roomful of Blues is really a nostalgic place. Cosy atmosphere, nice Asahi Drafts, enjoyable music. Its the only place where the visitors actually sing aloud with the band too! Interesting. All regular customers too. Nice place just to chill out in. Only gripe is that the music that play during the band’s intermission was so blah.

I went home with lots of ideas floating around in my head. I can’t wait! And yes! Su and I are going to check out MAAD tomorrow!
