What better way to spend the last moments of the year but with good friends, family and loved ones?

Took the opportunity to get out of the office slightly earlier with buddies Jo & Cat. The afternoon belongs to Sherlock Holmes.

Sure, I’ve watched it already but I really did appreciate it better the second viewing. I’ve managed to pick up the subtle innuendos peppered throughout the movie and even notice the intricate details as to the costume, the set and the actors’ expressions.

Had an enjoyable dinner with Jo, Cat and Jacq at Pho Hoa. Its these little sessions that I really got to know my friends, their thoughts, hopes and dreams. Somehow I think, ain’t this what friendships should be about? True friends, is what happiness should be made of.

2009 ended on a cosy note. Not dramatically, nor did with a bang. But silently, as I spend the night with friends and loved ones, I feel that 2010 is going to be another spectacular one.

Oh yes, one can feel it in the bones.

Year End Blogger Hat-py Party.

The theme is Crazy Hats. Its held at the very beautiful Singapore Arts Museum.

Hat-py New Year!

While having lunch with Cat & Jo, I was inspired as to how our get-up should look like.

The concept: Top Hats with a Masquerade Mask, a huge ribbon at the back that has trailing ends. Acrylic cut-out of brooches pinned all over the hat and to give to new-found friends at the party. The overall feel should gel with that of SAM being an old English building.

The girls loved the thought of it. We started gathering our materials that very evening. We got our materials at Far East, Arab street and some were from KL during a work trip.

Its been a hectic week leading up to the party and even though we did not manage to get the brooches done, we are all very pleased with the final get-up.

The hats were put together an hour before the party started. Talk about rush work!

Two bands were playing that night. The Black Diamond Ninjas as well as Only After Coffee. Personally, I prefer the rendition of Only After Coffee. The choice of songs and the vocals of the lead singer, Nina is fantastic.

The Party was fabulous as it provided me with the opportunity to finally put a face to all those people who’s tweets and blogs I’ve been following religiously. Its like finally meeting an idol of sorts.

We met new friends and caught up with old ones.

What a memorable way to end 2009.

Gregory & Diana @ Henderson Wave

I started the day off with tonnes of messages of love and happy birthdays. I’m touched by the sheer number of people that remembered. In a way, it does feedback to me that they care and that perhaps somewhere along the way, I’ve done something right.

Had a wonderful, relaxed day.

Went around to drop off some presents and Christmas Cards to some friends working nearby. Its really heart-warming to see their faces light up.

Afterwhich, Nick and I went off to Henderson Wave to take some photographs. I managed to take a pic of the blue bee. Yippee! Looking at the photos from the trip, the 12 mozzie kisses I got are definitely worth it!

One year older, two years wiser. What will i be 3 years down the road?

Excited as hell. I’ve got some plans brewing.
